Music, Pizza, Movie – Stay Home Date Night

MAKE A “MIX TAPE”.

Create a playlist on Spotify/Amazon Music/iTunes of all your favorite songs.

COOK TOGETHER.

Open a great bottle of wine. Pick up some pizza dough and sauce at Trader Joe’s (or the like) then ADD your favorite toppings. OR order a BLAZE/MOD pizza and have it delivered or pick up curbside.

BAKE A SKILLET COOKIE.

BJ’s PAZOOKI is one of my favorite desserts – I’ve always wanted to try this at home. If you want a Quick & Easy option pick up some cookie dough & ice cream at your local grocer. If you are feeling ambitious – click this link.

WATCH A MOVIE UNDER THE STARS.

Take a sheet or drop cloth with a projector or move your TV outside for the night. Setup lawn chairs, piles of blankets & pillows. Pop some popcorn and sit back & enjoy the show. MOVIE IDEAS – Funny Face, Lady & the Tramp, An Affair to Remember, Sleepless in Seattle, While You Were Sleeping or one of my personal favorites You’ve Got Mail.

Family Game Night

On family camping trips my parents always brought this old Jack Daniel’s tin that was filled with games that we would play after dinner while the sun set in the distance. Those camping trips are some of my strongest memories. So, when my sister got married I decided to make a game tin for them. Starting with a Jack Daniels tin that I found on Ebay and then filled with all of our favorite games. This has become one of our family traditions and something I hope to share with my own family someday.

SOOOO… then I thought “this would be a really great wedding or family Christmas gift”, so I put together this list so you can create your own game tin (memories not included).

I hope it gives your family as many cherished memories as it has mine. Enjoy!
