Design Process + Timeline

This process is a collaboration. Over the course of 2-3 meetings to collect the information needed for the design and production of your wedding/event stationery. We will also discuss your budget and different printing methods to determine the best way to bring your vision to life.

Based on your budget and personal design style, we will determine the following:

Presentation*

Determine your stationery needs and fill in your order form. Then I will email you an estimate based on your initial order along with your purchase agreement. This estimate may change as we move through the design process (new ideas emerge from others, while some are discarded). However, the initial estimate will help you keep on budget.
A non-refundable deposit of 50% or $1000 (whichever is less) is due with your signed purchase agreement.

OPTIONAL: Creative Design Consulting – using a series of creative exercises we will develop the stationery design and all other creative elements to be incorporated in your wedding/event.

Once we know your stationery needs and print style (print dictates paper and design requirements), I can begin designing starting with the invitation. I will provide 2-3 design options via email. Review each and email your feedback. I will then rework the design until you love it.

With the design motif finished I will apply elements to all remaining stationery pieces, creating a consistent look for your whole wedding or event. We will also make final decisions on envelopes, presentation elements and delivery options.

All text copy will be added to stationery and a final proof will be emailed for your approval before going to print (printed proofs only by request). Be sure to PROOF-PROOF-PROOF read thoroughly. Have at least 2-3 people proofread each piece as well. Create a list of edits before emailing them. At which point I will make the edits and resend the proof.

Once your print approval is received, I will send the final invoice.*

*Once in production any changes/edits will be at your own expense.

Depending on your presentation preferences I will assemble your suite before delivering to you (in person or via priority mail).

OPTIONAL: Stamped, Sealed & Delivery Service – addressing*, postage and delivery to the post office for you.
